For Clients

The law, on your side of the desk.

Demojura brings the law into everyday life. Read your rights in plain English and ask questions today. When you work with a firm that uses Demojura, My File shows you where your matter stands, from your own private window.

Demojura is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Read the Legal Notice.

My File, the Client Portal

The Client's Window Into the Matter.

Each client gets a private link and confirms their date of birth once. After that, My File shows only what the firm chooses to share, and the firm can preview exactly what the client sees.

  • Where the matter stands, on a short path from Getting Started to Closed.
  • Dates the firm shared, soonest first, and files the firm shared.
  • Bills: only ledger lines an attorney approved, each with the day, who did the work, the time, the charge and what backs it. Drafts never show.
  • Messages with the firm. Anything the client sends becomes a task for the paralegal.
  • The attorney's latest summary of each meeting, in plain words, checked and signed.
My File home on an iPhone: the client's matter at Getting Started, the next date, a new message from the firm, one shared file and the work billed.
Messages in My File on an iPhone: the client asks whether the other side answered the demand letter, and the firm replies with the date their answer is due.

On Any Screen

Dates and Files, Wherever You Are.

My File works the same on a phone, a tablet or a computer. The dates your attorney shares show up as they are set, and if a date changes, it changes there too.

  • Dates: court dates and deadlines your attorney shared with you.
  • Files: copies the firm shared with you. Your whole file is returned to you when the matter closes.
My File on a tablet: the one file the firm shared with the client, with a note that the whole file is returned when the matter closes.
Dates in My File on an iPhone: no dates yet; dates appear as the attorney shares them.
