The Matter

One Page for Everything on the Case.

Everything the firm knows and has done on a matter, in one place. Opening a new matter runs the conflict check across the whole firm.

  • The client and everyone named: opposing party, opposing counsel, witnesses, insurers, the court.
  • The conflict check, with who decided it and when, plus the matter's deadlines and tasks.
  • The Matter Vault: folders and files, each with a privilege label (Privileged, Work Product, Confidential or Not Privileged) and a fingerprint that shows the file has not changed.
  • The Work Ledger: every line of work with who did it, when, and the evidence behind it, such as a meeting, a file or a message.

AI-Assisted Notes

The Meeting, Written Up. The Attorney Signs.

AI drafts the notes from the meeting itself. An attorney reviews, edits and signs. Nothing reaches the client, the tasks, the deadlines or the ledger until they do.

  • Consent first. The attorney confirms everyone in the room agreed to be recorded. The recording saves every 30 seconds, so a closed tab loses seconds, not the meeting.
  • A transcript with speakers, written once and never edited.
  • One draft, four parts: the attorney's note in the firm's template (Initial Consultation, Client Meeting or Phone Call), a plain-words summary for the client, follow-ups, and dates said aloud.
  • Every sentence shows its source. Click a sentence to see the transcript lines behind it and play the recording from there. A sentence nothing in the meeting supports is marked No Source.
  • Signing does the filing. The note locks, follow-ups become tasks, dates become deadlines, and the meeting becomes a draft ledger line. Notes and transcripts are privileged and stay in the firm.
