The Fine Print, in Plain English
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
The short version. This website keeps very little. There are no accounts for visitors, no ads and no third-party trackers. We count page visits on our own server, without cookies. What you say to Jura or to Speak With Lincoln is used only to answer you and is not stored by us. If you write to us through the Contact page or send us your Firm MRI results, we keep what you send so we can reply. We never sell or share anyone’s information.
Who We Are
Demojura (demojura.com) is operated by Timatsu LLC, based in North Carolina. Questions about this policy go through our Contact page.
Talking with Jura and Lincoln
Jura, our AI agent, and Speak With Lincoln, our AI portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, answer what you type or say. Here is what happens to your words:
- To write a reply, your message and the conversation so far go to our server and then to an AI model provider (OpenRouter, which routes it to the model that writes the reply). Lincoln’s replies are prepared on our own engine, which also looks up passages from his writings and the texts on legal ethics he draws on. The provider handles your message under its own terms. We do not store your conversation, and no person reads it.
- When Lincoln speaks aloud, the text of his reply goes to our voice provider (ElevenLabs) to make the audio. Your words are not sent for this.
- When you speak to Lincoln, your browser’s own speech recognition turns your voice into words. Depending on your browser, the audio may be processed by the browser’s maker (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari) under its terms. We never receive your audio, only the words. The page asks for your microphone only when you start a call, and you can type instead.
- In your browser, the chat keeps the current conversation for that tab only, so it survives a reload, and it is cleared when you close the tab. Jura also remembers its own opening answer in your browser so it does not have to ask again. Neither leaves your device.
- Please do not share details about a legal matter. Jura and Lincoln are not lawyers and cannot keep a confidence; see our Legal Notice.
Keeping the Lights On
AI replies cost money, so we take three small measures to keep them fair and affordable:
- Usage records. For each AI reply we record the time, which feature answered, and how many words (tokens) it used and what it cost. The record does not contain what you or the AI said.
- Limits. To stop abuse, we count requests from each IP address in short-lived counters that reset within an hour or a day.
- A small puzzle. Your browser quietly solves a small computing puzzle before a chat starts, which makes automated abuse expensive. It reads nothing from your device.
The Rights Reader
The Rights Reader is a page you read. Nothing you do there is sent to us, apart from the visit count described below. If you press Ask Jura About This, Jura opens with the question filled in, and the conversation is handled as described above.
The Contact Form
If you write to us on the Contact page, we receive what you enter: your name, your firm or organization if you add one, a phone number or email, the topic you choose and your message. It is stored in Demojura’s own app database and read by the Demojura team, and we use it only to reply. Messages to us are not confidential or privileged, so please leave out details about a legal matter. We will delete your message on request.
The Firm MRI
The Firm MRI runs in your browser. Your answers and scores stay on your device unless you choose to press Send Us My Results. If you do, we receive your name, your firm, your role if you add it, a phone number or email, your practice area and firm size, your answers, the scores for each area and the overall result. It is stored in Demojura’s own app database and seen by the Demojura team, and we use it to follow up with you about your results. The Firm MRI asks about how a firm operates, not about any client or matter. You can ask us to delete your results at any time through the Contact page.
Team Sign-In
The sign-in page is for the Demojura team only; there are no accounts for visitors yet. When a team member signs in, their email and password are checked by our identity provider (Supabase), and the site sets one cookie, demojura_session, that keeps them signed in for up to 12 hours. It is strictly necessary for the team dashboard and is never used to track anyone. Visitors who do not sign in get no cookie. Each page also asks our server whether you are signed in, so the footer can show Sign In or Sign Out; that check sets no cookie and only reads the team cookie if one is already there.
Our Service Providers
- Vercel hosts the site. Its servers see your IP address and browser details and keep standard request logs for security and reliability.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- OpenRouter and the AI model it routes to write Jura’s and Lincoln’s replies.
- ElevenLabs turns Lincoln’s replies into speech.
- Supabase hosts our databases: the team sign-in, the usage records and short-lived limit counters, the visit counts, and the messages and Firm MRI results people choose to send.
- Resend delivers service alerts to our team, such as a note that a usage limit was reached.
We do not combine this information with anything else, and we do not use it to identify you.
Counting Visits
We count visits to demojura.com on our own server, so we know which pages people read. Each count keeps the page, the site that sent you there (if any), a campaign tag if the link carried one, whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer, and your country. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address. To tell one visit from the next on the same day, we keep a scrambled code made from that day’s date, your connection and your browser type; it changes every day, so no one can follow you from one day to the next. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.
What We Do Not Do
- No third-party analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or social media trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal information, ever.
- No collection of information about anyone’s legal matters.
- No training of AI models on your conversations by us.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your Choices and Rights
We hold no conversations or profiles of visitors, so in most cases there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you sent us a message or your Firm MRI results, you can ask us through the Contact page to delete them at any time. Residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, have rights over personal information a business holds; we never sell or share personal information.
Changes
When what this site collects changes, this policy changes first, and the date above changes with it.
